QUICKIES! 2016

My good friend Caitlin McWethy and I have been doing plays together since freshman year of college, when she cast me as an uptight male lawyer on trial for sexual harassment (Surprisingly I had it in me, even though I was a skinny 18 year old freshman girl– the casting pool was tight). She’s now co-artistic director at SHEatre Cincinatti Women’s Theatre and asked me for a funny ten minute featuring a strong female character. So I got to work! My friend Amanda Zeitler and I co-wrote BRUNCH AND FLANNEL, about the most up-and-coming folk duo of all time (the title characters) who are performing the half-time show at the Puppy Bowl. The manager, Mustache, and the puppies make things interesting.
